Alan has been wonderful to work with for many years. Customer surveys are a terrible way to evaluate employees. You should read: "Don't Let Metrics Undermine Your Business" is a seminal article by Michael Harris and Bill Tayler, originally published in the September–October 2019 issue of Harvard Business Review. It warns leaders about the "surrogation snare"—a psychological trap where employees (and managers) mentally replace a complex strategy with the simple metrics used to measure it.
