I dropped my car off for a emissions recall today and was sent a link with a 12 point inspection with photos and a checklist of things wrong with my car an there was nothing wrong in the exterior category. I went to pick up my car this afternoon and walked inside to grab my car key, I signed 3 different documents. Nothing was never mentioned to me nothing was said he handed me my key and I went on my way. I walked up to my car everything seemed fine, I opened the door and hardly sat down and noticed a LARGE crack on my windshield. I immediately got right back out and walked right inside and informed a couple individuals and a female asked me to pull my car into the bay. I pulled my car in and she looked at it and said “looks like something may have already been there and the heat and cold made it crack more” I said absolutely not after a few minutes of going back and forth and explaining multiple times that I 150% would have noticed if there was a crack in my windshield due to me literally being in and out of it all day, The whole time it seemed as though it was trying to be said the crack was already there. I was told that I had two options either take pics and they could be shown to a manager on Tuesday or I can bring my car back in Tuesday so it can be looked at. I will say that Declan did seem to really be trying to help but maybe he was given a hard time by others. I opted to have him take pics and bring my car back in on Thursday. Ultimately I find it very very hard to believe that whoever got into my car and pulled it back into the parking lot did not notice the large crack in my windshield and not think maybe it was important to mention. Either way I truly hope this is taken care of correctly and efficiently being my windshield was perfect when I dropped it off today.
