I do have one question ... I think the manufacturer recommends oil changes every 8k miles but the sticker on the window has it at 5k. Why the difference?

I picked my car up again today. Something wasn’t completed properly the first time I brought it. And it was making whistling sounds. Well now it still whistles and now I’m hearing a do-do-do-do sound while breaking. It wasn’t doing that before this either of these services so I’m actually a bit frustrated.
