One oddity, for which I don't have a reasonable suggestion:
As part of the complimentary vehicle check, my cabin air filter was found to be due for replacement, so I was asked if I wanted to pay nearly $100 (mostly labor) to replace it.
I declined (Walmart sells an equivalent filter for $20, which took me 5 minutes to install.
Your tech did all the same labor in order to check the old filter, but I would have had to pay for about an hour of his time if I had said yes.
