The car was in the shop from 9-19-25 until 1-9-26. Insurance covered over $7700 in costs to repair extensive mouse damage. But then the dealer found another problem, not related to mouse damage, which was not a problem before we stopped driving the car in September, and we paid $773 for additional repairs. We assumed the car was fully fixed, as the dealer told us when we picked it up today. Yet on the way home, we got a dashboard message, “Headlight System Malfunction,” a problem that didn’t exist before we had it towed to the dealer and was clearly not detected during almost 4 months at the dealer! This is incredibly time consuming, costly and aggravating, especially since the dealer is a 1 hour 15 minute drive away.
Plus, when we first got a loaner, in November, it had very low tire pressure (~26 psi instead of ~38 psi in all 4 tires) and a dashboard message that maintenance is required and see dealer - even though it had just been at the dealer.
