As the weather got colder, the driver’s seat of my less-than-a-year-old Toyota RAV4 Woodland edition started squeaking while driving. I told the dealer and also asked for my one-year service. The person sat in the seat, said he didn’t hear anything, and claimed the problem is “natural” because it’s metal. After three hours, he came back saying the noise only happens when the seat is moved aggressively and that I “am not supposed to move aggressively on it.” I’ve owned over five cars, some 6–7 years old, and none had this issue. If Toyota seats start squeaking within a year and the dealers think it is ok for a Toyota, that’s disappointing quality. I wouldn’t buy another one or recommend it.

My car was scheduled to be serviced at 12 o’clock with the appointment made last week. When I checked in I was asked if I was going to leave the car or wait on it. I replied I was going to wait on it because I had an appointment for 12 o’clock. He said “well that was just for checking in”. He said it’s gonna take about three hours. Didn’t realize an appointment time was just for check in not for service?? Every other time I had an appointment I was told “my service time” is for whatever time I had made NOT AN”APPOINTMENT TIME FOR CHECK IN”. I realize this was before a holiday and busy time but isn’t there a cutoff time for how many clients you can handle at one time or schedule the time PLEASE for whatever time you can actually service it instead of making the customer wait over three hours for a scheduled routine maintenance appointment.
