First of all, the people that I dealt with were sweet as pie and very professional, and I have nothing bad to say about any of them. When I left Toyota Carlson yesterday, I got into my truck and burst into tears. I am a single woman who bought a truck from you a couple months ago and bought an extended warranty so that I don’t have to deal with vehicle issues. The maintenance required sign came on in my truck and so I figured something was wrong and since I don’t want to get stranded all alone somewhere, I made an appointment at the dealership. I did not know that it cost money just to tell me what was wrong. Neither of the heated seats work in this truck which is a must have for me. Apparently they were added after the truck was purchased so they are not covered under my warranty. How would I ever have known that? Anyway, after I sat there for two hours and 15 minutes, the very polite man that I was dealing with came over and told me that I could maybe rotate my tires if I wanted and flush some other items. I was also told that I could just wait on all of those issues. I said that I would just wait till next time since it is two weeks before Christmas and I thought I was free to go. Then I was directed to go up to the cashier and I was charged $200 and all I got out of it was a car wash. Then to make everything worse, I got in my truck and started driving and the maintenance required light is still on. I asked if that was supposed to still be there and they responded that it will stay on until I get the items taken care of that they told me about. So basically, I will never know when something is really wrong with my truck because the maintenance required light will be on constantly. This takes all my feelings of security about buying a newer truck away. If I would have just stayed home yesterday I would be $200 ahead, but I would still have a dirty truck. I think it is a complete scam and I am very disappointed with the whole process. Again, the people that I dealt with were completely polite and friendly.
