Hi,
I have an issue that I need to bring forward. I had an oil chane on May 9th 2025. Since then I have been having issue while pushing the gas as if the vehicle getting gas pumped. Next time when I came in for the service on September 13th, 2025, I did complain about this. The Multipoint inspection was done and I was told nothing was found.
However, a while after that I started getting "Check Emission System" light on. A diagnostics was done on October 23rd 2025. Technician did multipoint inspection and found the intake boot torn open. We were told the part is out of stock and will be back in couple of days and the vehicle is safe to drive until then.
However, our vehicle stopped on the highway and no matter how much gas I'd give it slowed down and came to complete stand still. This put us in danger. We somehow got safely out.
My Questions:
1) Why was this part not identified when we came in for the oil change in Sep? We were told perhaps they missed it. The symptomps were there and we mentioned this problem at the time of service.
2) The vehicle was NOT safe to drive once identified, but were told otherwise.
We will be getting the vehicle for the repair on 10/27/2025. I'd like the diagnostic charge we spent to be applied toward the parts and service please.
