They didn't reset my oil light

This was a simple oil change…. The next morning I smelled oil in my garage and there was a small oil stain - same thing at work. Put cardboard under the car overnight and sure enough, the car is leaking oil. Nearly 2 hours of drive time that day with traffic and another 1.5 hours of driving today to have them look at this. Screams incompetence to me.

I scheduled a service appointment by phone and clearly informed the dealership that I would be doing a night drop. At no point during scheduling was I informed of any diagnostic fee. On the day of the appointment, I spoke directly with the service advisor at approximately 10:00 AM. Again, no diagnostic fee was disclosed, nor was I asked to authorize any diagnostic charges. I was told I would receive an update within about an hour. I did not receive any communication. I called multiple times throughout the day, was unable to reach anyone in the service department, and left a message requesting a callback that was never returned. At approximately 4:30 PM, I was finally able to reach someone. I was told that one hour of diagnostic work had been performed, that they were unable to determine the issue, and that I was being charged $206. I was also told that additional diagnostic time would cost another $206 per hour. I explicitly declined further work and questioned why I had not been informed of the diagnostic fee or asked to authorize it. I was told that someone “should have told me,” confirming that proper disclosure did not occur.

What a breath of fresh air! Sam has such an upbeat personality and always has a smile on her face. I could tell she was new because she had to clarify a few things with her team mate, but instead of it frustrating her, she was so happy to have her ticket for me accurate. I really really appreciate that she told me she was new and I was very patience ( usually not) . But her professionalism enable me to be more understanding.
