The 11-7-23 service on 2016 Corolla caused me some concern as follows: oil change as scheduled & when asked by Sara I agreed to have wiper blades & cabin air filter (add'l costs) repaced per Sara's inquiry for such per tech's findings. I ?'d Sara on need of each & she was able to look up that cabin filter not showing been replaced as she looked up record of past visits & wipers last replaced Sept 2022 & tech marked red & Sara explained kindly & well & all made sense to me. Service completed, Sara voiced service that had been done saying "fluids topped off" & I departed service dept & Sunshine toyota. I turned wipers on to see how new ones worked & unable to get any wiper fluid to squirt out onto windshield as I performed that task on the car. Called Sara, very kind, helpful, apologetic & I brought car back to Sunshine, Sara lifted the hood, I got out to look & appeared zero wiper fuid in the receptacle under the hood. Sara again very nice & helpful & apolized & got a young man to fill with wiper fluid & also got additionally qualified young man to check another fluid receptacle for adequate amt of antifreeze as I had ? now if that one had been filled properly or not. That 2nd young man explained kindly & very well that proper amt was present. Made total sense to me & he was very caring & appeared very knowledgeable. I departed service bay area & tried wipers & tried to get wiper fluid again onto window & found problem remaining with very little wiper fluid coming out on driver side & zero coming out on passenger side causing concern that appeared was an additional issue with having no fluid use available when need throughout upcoming winter weather when need ability to clean windshield as needed to safely see to drive safely. Tech who filled fluid when I 1st brought car back was kind enough at my request to look under the hood when I expressed problem with no fluid coming out & he said looked like a problem at point where fluid is supposed to come out. I thanked him & departed to parking place on sunshine's lot. I called Sara & got her voicemail. I then called & asked for manager & left voice mail for Chris & request a call back. I headed home to Bellevue & just as reached Bellevue I rec'd a return call from manager Chris. He took my concern seriously & treated me like royalty--asked me to bring the car back & let them look it over to find the problem after he 1st apologized & offered to send a tech out to my home to address the problem. I felt that was too much trouble. He asked if I could bring the car back in that day or Wed 11-8-23 & I agreed to drive back to sunshine at that time (11-7-23). He said he would have a car ready for me to drive while they kept the 2016 Corolla to look into the problem. I appreciated his genuine kindness & caring & his willingness to do all he could to make sure my concerns were addressed & resolved. Sara called several hours later, problem was resolved & I drove back, exchanged the borrowed car for the 2016 Corolla, Sara had explained things were jumbled up in there apparently causing the problem. I paid for the repair. I checked & was able to get the wiper fluid to spray out on the windshield without problem. I mentioned to Sara had not had a problem with getting wiper fluid to come out prior to bring the car in that morning for the oil change & I wondered what had happened. Said she would have to talk to the tech about that. I departed wondering if this problem & added time & expense could have been avoided had another perhaps more knowledgeable or experienced tech in the quick lube dept had cared for my car. One would expect a conscientious tech who puts on new windshield wipers & supposedly tops off fluids (but apparently did not put in windshield wiper fluid) would have tried out the new blades with the wiper fluid to make sure all is well & if not immediately inform service writer so there would be no surprise to the customer & so that problem could get solved. For these reasons in the future I wonder if I could request any other tech but Natasha who was listed on my receipt as the tech who did oil change, replacement of blades & filter where unexpected problem & expense came into play as far as I am concerned. Probably totally innocent mistakes but does not give me trust for her care of my car in the future.

They didn't reset the readings on my vehicle- it still tells me I have "12% oil life remaining". Additionally they did not fill up my wiper fluid (which is low enough to where the light is on). Neither of these are a huge deal as I can do them myself but when I pay $100 for an oil change I expect these things to be done.

Took car in because day prior, would not start, error code was brake power low. Was advised health check would be performed. Health check was performed and no issues detected so I was called to retrieve vehicle. I asked if the battery tested ok, and found out the battery had not been tested. I was asked if I wanted the battery tested, to which I replied yes, based on the fact that when googling this error code for this model, first mode of failure that appears is battery needs replacement. After the battery was tested, I was informed the battery tested at 30% and the decision was made to replace the battery. I was told it would take “a few minutes.” One hour later the service rep returned to the waiting area with a “surprised look” that I was still sitting there. It turns out that the service reps did not communicate between their lunch shifts, so I get the impression that the battery replacement was done for a while, and I was only waiting for a service rep to inform me. In the end, I am disappointed that I was charged $55 for a health check that did not diagnose the problem, rather, I diagnosed the problem. It seems this is a common issue with highlanders, so I’m disappointed that the service team did not think to check the battery first. Please feel free to call with questions - ****-****-xxxx.
