I have been going to one dealer for 26 years and was very satisfied. I bought 3 cars and 1 truck. I was always treated as a loyal and preferred customer. The dealership changed its organization and the service department went from personal to “I’ll tell you what’s wrong with your vehicle so don’t bother me. A second dealership wasn’t much better, so I tried Akins, in Winder, GA. First I called and made an appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early and was impressed from the start, I drove around not knowing where to go. Then asked an employee who kindly told me where to go. I followed the instructions and the next thing I knew Bobby Reese directed me where to go and then introduced himself and asked if I had been there before. I replied no and he explained the procedure and took over. The estimated time was 2 hours so I waited in a very clean waiting area with free coffee and little alcoves to give privacy to those who wanted it as well as TV’s. An hour and fifty minutes later my name was called and the van was ready. To my surprise the bill was a little less than the estimate. Finally, I received a call from the service manager wanting to know if I was satisfied with the service. I have stopped looking for a dealer thanks to Akins.

I’m not quite sure all of the services provided, and the gentleman was OK. He did not seem to know much about my car.

I brought my f one fifty m for check engine light. They told me it was a Loose hose from a service I had at another shop. I pick my truck up and the check engine light came back on. They said I needed a tune up. So I got to tune up And they charged me another diagnostic fee. I felt since I brought the vehicle in with a checked engine lights and the check engine light came back on half.I picked the vehicle up that will be covered from the first diagnostic fee. But I was charged another diagnostic fee. I felt I was charged double for the same service.
