I came mainly to get body work done and I had a couple of issues that were handled by service. I was confused about where I needed to be — but was told to pull into the service bay. I explained everything I wanted done and left the car, getting into my rental. When I returned, I assumed everything had been completed, but only the service items (my car never made it to the body shop). So, the main reason I dropped it off was never addressed. I called and was told my company never gave authorization for body work, but the fillet company said they did and immediately re-authorized my rental. The problem is I can’t get a large SUV right now, so I’m stuck not getting my car repaired before the holiday which is why I chose to bring it to Akins to start. This was not a great experience. I know the company is huge and the service and body shop are like two completely independent areas now, but I don’t really get that when I arrived the first time. The work that was done and the people I met with were first rate, but I was confused about where I needed to be and I’m still confused about the process in whole if you have issues that are both mechanical and body shop related what to do I my next trip. It seems like the right and left hand don’t really communicate.
