Very expensive for a retired person. The last time I had an oil service it was regular 89.00. On sale for 59.00 Today it was 132.00. Very expensive. No senior discount no military discount. I’ve been bringing my car to Toyota if Puyallup since the late early 90’s. Have bought cars from you and trust you. But with that price I don’t know if I can continue to have my service with you.

I came in at 1:30 and didn’t leave until several hours later . After over 20 years and a couple Toyota purchases, this was such a disappointing experience. Every few times I talked with my contact person, I was told something new was needed. Furthermore, I was told to throw away my oil change punch card because it was no longer “honored.” I had 3 punches. I did agree to several of the “new problems “ and an oil change turned into a $3000 dollar estimate. As a community member of Tehaleh community in Bonnie Lake, I will be posting about my experience at Toyota of Puyallup.

I’m more disappointed that I was told that there was an appointment at 2:45 only then to be told that there are not enough technicians to help me that day and I would need a rental car. I had to cancel a meeting to make the 2:45 appointment, so I would’ve appreciated honesty that they didn’t have the technicians for the day before so I didn’t have to rearrange my entire day on Tuesday as well. I could’ve gone somewhere else, I could’ve gotten tires the same day, I could’ve still made my meeting, and I wouldn’t have needed to carve out even more time the next day to return the rental car. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. Becca was the only thing that kept me from leaving. She saved the sale. Give her more money.

Oil change portion of the appointment went quick and well. It took 30 minutes to get the multi-point inspection results. Those results indicated that I needed an engine air filter replacement, which I approved. Figure that would take 10-15 minutes. That air filter took another hour. Really?? An another hour for an air filter after you already did everything else? TOP no longer washes cars, and instead gives vouchers to Brown Bear Car Wash. I wasn’t given one. In fact, I watched two prior customers (nit Chance’s) leave, turn around, and walk back in, stating they hadn’t been given one either. I left and forgot to ask. But,, didnt get one…. Upon driving home I notice the cover to my cabin air filter lying on my passenger floor mat. When I get home, I go to replace it, and figure I might as well check my filter while I’m at it. Filthy. No word from Toyota that I should replace it. I’ve always had great service at TOP. Not sure what happened this trip. Hopefully just a fluke. If it happens again, I’m gone.
