When I originally called to ask about getting a programmed key and a basic key for my newly purchased used 2016 Honda Fit, the Service person, Abel, quoted me a price of approximately $240 and I said fine, I will see you in 30 minutes. He told me to expect a wait of an hour to complete the key process and I was fine with that information. Now, if you are still reading when I got to the dealership I repeated my original request and was not clear with Abel that I wanted 1 basic key and one program and in just 45 minutes I got one programmed key. I told Abel we had a miscommunication and he had the basic key made immediately. The reason I decided to pay more at the local Hond dealership was to check you guys out. Will I bring my purchase to you for future maintenance or not.
First, Abel, immediately “notified” me that my new purchase was a salvage title and I appreciated that although I was completely informed in all areas to the pros
and cons of a salvage title purchase. This is good service. I asked Abel to set up a maintenance schedule for my new purchase and he said return at 10K miles.
Although I had to pay an additional $8 for Abelnot hearing my request for one basic key and one programmed key I was willing to let it slide. I will return and make sure I am clear and concise with what I need from the service department. I liked Abel and I see how hard he works (great multi tasker) and I am at a beginng. Do I choose Honda of SB to service my new purchase or do I choose another avenue? What would you do??
