We purchased a 2019 Honda Civic December 2018. Normally my wife does not like to deal with any salesman. However she felt very comfortable to take in the vehicle because the tire light was on and it happened to have a nail in it what made her go in on her own was that when we purchased a vehicle she was not pressured to purchase the vehicle and the sales been with very friendly. She said when she arrived for the service they were very friendly and didn’t try to sell her anything. She mentioned that the waiting area is so relaxing that she’s willing to go back again just to sit there and have the free coffee . Thank you for making her feel very comfortable. Finally, after 6 trips to the service department and having my CRV In the service department since last Wednesday, “a part” was ordered and installed, which as of on my home home to Beaumont this afternoon, finally resolved the problem with the GPS Navigation, Serius XM radio and Bluetooth in the CRV. If the newly in stalled part works, great.
Every time I brought my CRV into the Rock Honda Service Department I fully explained the problem to the service advisor and after several hours in the service department being “repaired” when I used the GPS, Serius XM radio or my cell phone with the Bluetooth each or all were not repaired. Each time I asked why the parts weren’t repaired or replaced I was told the Rock Honda procedure/protocol dictated that the problem had to be “duplicated” in the Rock Honda service department even when I had explained the problems in detail - explaining that the problems with the GPS, Serius XM and Bluetooth were sporadic and that at times each of them could be working correctly then 1, 2 or all 3 of them could be malfunctioning at the same time. I finally told a service manager he was calling me a liar when they would not fix the problem because none of the Rock Honda service technicians, for whatever reason, we’re never able to “duplicate” the problem, yet every time I was sitting in the driver’s seat with the engine running and I operated the GPS, Serius XM radio or the Bluetooth with the Rock Honda service technician sitting in the front passenger seat that had just “worked on my CRV and fixed the problem” it still was not fixed. Either the technician was not being honest about “duplicating” the problem or he worked on the CRV when the problem was not occurring - which I explained the first time I came in for service that the problems were sporadic, not happening all the time.
I was very frustrated that the problem had to be “duplicated” instead of immediately determining “which individual part could cause the problem” and replace that part when I first came into the Rock Honda service department. I was mistakenly told I had to purchase a $125.00 CD Disk to reboot the GPS which would solve the problem (apparently Honda Corporation forces the customer to order the disk instead of a Honda employee in the service or parts department order it). It turned out the money I paid to purchase the disk that the Rock Honda service advisor said I had to buy was not actually what was needed. to fix the problem.
