I requested my car be driven to diagnose the problem due to the fact I was driving the car back to Utah. A short time later I get a notice stating my engine and transmission mounts are torn and my rear brakes needed replacement. I authorized the work after doing some checking about drivability problems with failed mounts. After the mounts and brakes were done I was told the car was driven and there was a bad front axle and it needed replace. What I am not satisfied with is the fact the drive test was the last thing that was done, almost like it was a bait and switch. My goal was to be able to drive the car and I thought I was clear with this. $3300 later I got my car back. I not saying the other items weren’t an issue but they did not solve my drivability problem.

I brought my car in to Norn Reeves Honda to address a fluttering/vibration issue. I explained to Omar at Norm Reeves that I purchased the car Pre Owned Certified with an extended warranty at Hoen Honda Carlsbad back in October 2022 and that I had mentioned the fluttering to them a couple of times however they never addressed the issue. When I explained my frustrating situation to Omar regarding Hoen Honda he advised me the diagnosis would be free. I wasn’t expecting this surprise but I was extremely grateful! The diagnosis was a transmission flush. We both agreed that since I purchased the car at Hoen Honda that it would be best to let them do the work and that they may offer a discount on services since I already brought this to their attention months ago. This issue will be addressed at Hoen Honda tomorrow morning and they’ll be able to use the diagnosis from Norm Reeves. Thank you Omar Atilano at Norm Reeves for all your friendly service and communication! I will definitely bring my Honda to Norm Reeves in the future.
