Paperwork marked that all fluids were checked and topped off. Not true. They did not top off the window washer fluid. But marked they did. Marked that they check the air pressure in the tires. Stated they brought it up to what was on the side panel on the door. First time ever the tire pressure was not noted of what it actually was.
I have absolutely no confidence now that any of it was done.

The employees I interacted with generally treated me with professionalism, which I appreciate.
However, your company's billing practices are predatory and I'm seriously considering using any other available maintenance service provider whenever possible after this last experience.
When my check engine light came on I figured a basic diagnostic computer would set me back about $50-$60 at most. Decided I'd rather have a professional look at it instead of checking the engine code myself, assuming the cost to me for a quick diagnostic would be about the same either way. I assumed that if something more major was wrong your mechanics would be able to fix it then and there and I'd be glad I got it all done at once.
Instead, I ended up waiting about 2 hours to eventually be told that my gas cap was a bit loose and that you were going to charge me $175 after having tightened it. If I was made aware of the possibility that this was the cause of the check engine light going on in the first place I could have easily checked it myself, well in advance of making an appointment for vehicle maintenance. When I stated as much to your technician I was told that they performed an evaporation test (which I did not consent to.) and that this was the reason for the high bill.
I pointed out that I was being charged the original estimate for an unknown engine problem and that this seemed unfairly high for a simple loose gas cap and an additional test I didn't request. The technician then changed the bill to $130 stating that this was the minimum rate he could charge for his time and that there was nothing else he could do for me. I then provided a general maintenance coupon I had in my car and he was able to take another 15% off, leaving me with a final bill of $114.
I paid $114 to get my gas cap tightened at Roseville Toyota.
After haggling.
It cost me nearly half a car payment to get my gas cap tightened and a diagnostic run. It also cost me a mile added to my odometer, a gallon of my gas spent performing a test I didn't ask for, and two hours spent waiting to receive an insulting invoice seemingly designed to punish customers for being less informed.
My family has bought over 3 vehicles through Roseville Toyota specifically and I personally financed this one through your company and have never missed a payment. I've trusted your maintenance and sales teams up until now, as they had always been courteous and done right by me in the past. But receiving a $175-$114 bill for something so trivial is absurd. This whole experience feels like a spit in the face and a total degradation of the relationship between customer and service provider that we had built up over many years.
