Well I thought all was well with my oil change but 2 days ago I kept hearing a noise on rear left tire. No censor showed anything. Today I took it by our local parts store to have it checked out. He drove it around a block or two. He thought it might be loose lug but. Sure enough 2 of them were not tightened. Not sure how they came loose but he checked all my tires. Had to tighten a few on every tire. Is it safe to drive. I had this done on 6-24-2019. Do I need to bring it in. Glad the tire didn’t come off !!!

I had requested the tires to be rotated today with the oil change but was told they could not do it due to the amount of wear on the tires. I do not know what the tire tread depth that is used to determine this factor, but the wear is no where near the wear indicators built into the tire, which to me should be the deciding factor. I have never heard of a refusal to simply rotate the tires, especially since there has never been question about this before. I do not know of any safety concerns over this, and did not receive a specific explanation to in this regard either. It is a small thing but was never an issue I have ever heard of or dealt with. I do not describe myself as a mechanic, but I have wrenched on my own vehicles for a long time and I would like to know the specific guidelines that are in place for this stipulation. Overall I still prefer to bring my truck to your technicians over anywhere else as you crew should know my truck’s needs better than anyone, but tires not being rotated for excessive wear that I am not in agreement with nor the wear to the wear indicators on the tire is seeming like it was a job that was shirked for time constraints.
