The service advisor told me that the recall parts previously installed in November were not under any kind of warranty so he couldn’t do anything to repair the problem unless I paid out of pocket. After contacting Ford directly I was informed that the parts do have a 12 month warranty and all he needed to do was contact Ford to submit the claim. After getting me in immediately to diagnose the problem, he is now saying it will be several weeks before I can bring it back to get it fixed. I feel that I’m getting the run around and am completely frustrated that I’m having to deal with a failed recall installation plus poor customer service.

I had a 10am service appointment for my truck today. When I dropped it off, I was told it would take approximately 3 to 4 hours for the services that I requested, which was simply a brake inspection and a tire rotation. I also explained to my service advisor (Vicki) that my wife had a service appointment at Air Park CDJR for the next day and that we would need to drop her car off, which meant that I would need my truck back. Vicki acknowledged this, which indicated to me that she was aware of my situation. So my expectation was that I would receive a call from Vicki within 3 to 4 hours. Needless to say, when that did not happen,I started growing concerned. At approximately 5pm, 7 hours later, I called to ask Vicki for an update. Her response was something like, "the update is that there us no update" and that they were "really slammed today." She did apologize. She also promised me an update early the next day.I could understand if I had showed up at 2:30 pm, without an appointment, but in my view, after 7 hours with no call back an to be told only that there was no update and "we were slammed" is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I called back a few minutes later as I was really frustrated and asked to speak with the Service Manager. I was somewhat surprised when the individual who answered the phone did not identify himself. He showed absolutely zero concern or remorse for my situation, and simply confirmed what I requested, which was to cancel the services that I'd requested, and to have my truck left with the keys in it, ready for pick up at 11am. I doubt that there us anything you can say or do at this point that would change my low opinion of your Service Dept. You can rest assured that my wife will cancel her appointment tomorrow and that we won't be back.

Jason was terrific in helping out to semi finish, the recall issue. He really did all he could do. Now about the mother ship Ford motor co. Ford has sent me several letters about a recall air bag. Twice, I have taken the car to get I fixed. Twice I was told that they did not have the parts. Third time was with Jason at the controls. Amazing with letters in hand, stating that this is a dangerous that can cause serious INJURY OR DEATH, and Ford still can not provide the customer the parts. YGBSM! Jason is a good man. Too bad Ford Motor Co, sets up good employees like him to have to take the brunt of their customers when it is not the tech rep fault. Jason did say he would personally call us for an appointment whenever the parts came in. Lets pray that there is not an accident between now and then causing injury or death like the Ford's letter says.
