I spoke with Christopher about the issue of the splash guard falling down after a previous oil changes specifically telling him about the Mechanics previous replacements of the factory’s clips with 2 screws on the drivers side that were fastened into plastic shims to hold the guard in place. The splash guard fell down again less than 24 hours after the oil change. Luckily I had a small bungee cord to temporarily hold the guard in place. The two screws are gone, the clips are still in place but couldn't hold the guard in place without the other two holding up their end. Last oil change I ended up having to buy the clips to replace the ones lost on the passenger side. I want to be able to bring my MKC in for an oil change and not have to deal with this splash guard problem.
