I dropped my truck off for a service and to check the transmission for hard shift to over drive. Service writer called me to tell me he had bad news. I needed a new transmission. $7,700. The tech told him I lost 3rd gear. I knew this wasn't the case as it was operating with 3rd gear when I dropped it off. I picked up the truck the next day. All gears function properly which I recorded on my phone. In fact the shifts are normal and the radio was reset which leads me to believe he simply reset the TCM for the transmission. Shady
