When my head gasket gave out I was talked into getting a replacement engine by Mr Wong, who said that it would be warranted for 12 months/12k parts and labor. Three months later when the replacement engine broke down stranding my fiancé and I on the side of the 101 in Petaluma, Mr Wong said bring it in and if the motor is the issue, it’ll be covered under warranty. I had it towed to the shop at my expense. Days later me Wong called me to tell me that while they were able to talk engine world into replacing the motor, I would have to pay for labor. Labor is the majority of the cost of the job. This is not a warranty, it is a scam. After bringing it up with the service manager and general manager of SF Honda, they forced me to pay 50% of the labor cost, which again should have been covered under warranty. I was lied to and ripped off by SF Honda Marina Service Center and I plan on filing formal complaints and reviews so that other customers can avoid falling into this trap.

I always asked for how long it's going to take? If it possible to finish in the period time that they told me or a little later, it's fines. But this is the second time that I spent whole day in there. The first time they told me a couple hours but it took "9 HOURS" and this time, they told me about 3-4 hours and it took "6 HOURS". It would be great if they can tell the closer estimates time. At least follow up the working time and update it to customer if something changes that I would manage my schedule.

Although the news about my car wasn’t good, I appreciated Greg’s courtesy and communication. He even brought the service technician with him to break the bad news, and he put me in touch with an SF Honda sales rep.
