Brought my truck in for my final service before selling it to buy the new 2020 3500HD. Derek made an extra effort to ensure the status of the truck was well documented for the new owner, provided a great package for the clean bill if health and made sure that the new owner would feel right at home atcJJ Chevrolet! You guys will be servicing the new truck, though you didn’t get your allotment in time to get to sell it to me.

I think management should look into employee morale. I sense that some employees I interacted with over the years are not happy. This translates in their nonverbal cues and abrupt, no smiling conversations.

Unfortunately, I did not have a satisfactory experience at Jimmie Johnson’s Chevrolet. Beginning with my service adviser Travis, he consistently failed to meet ANY of the schedule goals HE set, failed to communicate progress or lack of and sometimes lacked basic knowledge of what should or could be done to address the problem with the vehicle and provide timely, professional service. During the 25 days my vehicle was at Jimmie Johnson’s Chevrolet, I had to personally visit the shop on two occasions to receive updates as a result of his failure to contact me or return my calls. My interaction with Service Manager Clayton wasn’t any better. In-person, Clayton assured me my vehicle would be ready to pick up at 4pm and I said I would be there to do so. After over 4 hours given to simply replace a tire that became flat while at Jimmie Johnson’s Chevrolet with the spare and perform a test drive, neither had been accomplished as promised by Clayton. If not for me calling ahead and speaking to a helpful customer service representative named “Clarissa”, I would have shown up to pick up my vehicle and unable to leave with it as promised. In fact, “Clarissa” was able to do in about 45 minutes what Travis or Clayton was unable to do in five or more days. “Clarissa” took matters into her own hands by speaking directly with the service technician and made sure the flat tire would immediately be replaced with the spare. Unwilling to allow my vehicle to be trusted to Jimmie Johnson’s Chevrolet another day or more longer, I asked to waive the “test-drive” I had been promised the week before by Travis and five hours earlier by Clayton. Upon my visit to pick up my vehicle, I was met by Clayton with no apologies or explanation for his own failure. I was merely handed off to a service adviser to pay my bill. Had I had the chance to meet “Clarissa”, I would have thanked her personally for going above and beyond simply taking calls and successfully performing the duties of an experienced and professional service adviser AND service manager. Duties that Travis and Clayton failed to perform in my estimation. I hope “Clarissa” is given the credit she is due and that Travis and Clayton might learn from her example.
