I took in my Maxima for the airbag recall on 8/17/2020. The staff from Cerritos Nissan assigned to me was Carlos Fuentes. I was told that the repair would be done within 4 to 5 hours. After waiting that long, got a call from Carlos Fuentes that they don't have the part so my car will be ready the next day. He said I could come pick up the car and drop it off again the next day or just leave it till the next day. No apologies whatsoever for the inconvenience caused.
After being told that my car was ready, I went back. When I started the engine and started driving away, the airbag light started flashing. So I had to drive it right back to the dealer. I told Carlos Fuentes that I will be waiting right outside in my husband's car (didn't want to stay inside the enclosed lobby given covid situation) and to call me as soon as he finds out what's wrong and how long the wait would be.
After waiting in the car for about half an hour in the hot and muggy August heat, with no update, I called the dealer. Carlos nonchalantly said "it's fine now. It's ready for pickup." He offered no apologies for the repeated inconveniences and the multiple trips we had to make to the dealer. Also he volunteered no details about what caused for airbag light to flash and what remedy was provided, until I pressed for more details.
This is absolutely the worst customer service that I have received at a Nissan dealer. I won't be a returning customer.
