I have two major concerns regarding my experience. The first is with Chevrolet, not Lindsay Chevrolet. The fact that a dead battery can ruin the SDM/ECM to the tune of $1100/$1500 for repair is absolutely ridiculous and an engineering failure.
My second concern is with the service report I was given stating the stutter at idle that I reported could not be duplicated. The car was stuttering at the stop sign as I was leaving the service lot so I feel like I certainly didn't get the $150 diagnosis that I paid for. How could they have possibly not recreated the stutter in a road test when I did it in the parking lot? Maybe a service tech can ride along while I road test the vehicle so I can demonstrate the issue to them.
Another frustrating experience was rushing to the dealership on Monday (10/29) for a 345pm appointment that was scheduled with the knowledge of the work I was requesting only to be told that there wasn't enough time left in the day for them to take me.
Other than those issues, the waiting room was comfortable and stocked and the experience was as pleasant as could be expected given the circumstances. Greg was polite and got me set up with an OnStar free trial which is appreciated.
Thank you Dennis for your Outstanding services. In my 20 years with Chevrolet I NEVER seen better than your professionalism.
My father was told it would take 2 hours for the service on my vehicle. 6 hours later I called to check on the status and at first they could not find my vehicle and then they found it and said o yeah its ready sorry you didn't get a call.
Took a long time for the seatbelt part to arrive and you all tried to tell my wife her battery was dead when I explained it had to be a programmed issue from installing the seatbelt. The manager did apologize to my wife but I still was not pleased with the overall service. Before you tell a customer that a certain issue exists, ensure all avenues have been researched prior.
Truck is better, but the issue seems to be widely known amongst the Front Struts community (Magnetic ride shocks). Why hasn't Chevy fixed/upgraded the struts/shocks to better ones. $1800 for 2 is highway robbery.
Jay c Tippett is a nice guy and so patients
The service advisor did such a good job with getting my vehicle inspected quickly, I went home and got my other vehicle inspected as well. Thank you for taking awesome care of me.
Fast abd reliable. Thanks
I thought the hospitality was incredible as well as the attention to
Detail in the waiting room. There was a lady black I’m sorry I didn’t get her name
And numerous times she ask me if I needed anything. I’m a manager at a near by restaurant and all we talk about is hospitality and I used my experience to coach our staff. I also called my dad who has a new corvette every year to tell him how great I was treated ... his words class act !
Greg, has always been our service guy. He’s great.
Always a pleasure dealing with Dennis!!!!
I don’t understand why there is a misc charge on my receipt. The charge wasn’t explained.
John was extremely rude, when I politely declined purchasing tires. My appointment was at 12pm my son was there waiting from 12:00 pm until 2:50pm for a simple oil change and an inspection. I was called at 1:38 about the tires. It took an additional hour to put a rejection sticker on the car. My son ask 2 times about the car. That was completely unacceptable and John was extremely rude.
Jay is awesome to work with and I will be requesting him
In the future!
Special Thanks to Dallas for ensuring scheduled maintenance is on track and for expeditious service!
