I truly enjoy the ride and quality provided by Mazda vehicles but the service is the next most critical element of being a long time customer. I got my car serviced at the Bob Baker in Carlsbad on July 29th and August 2nd.
No one explained what was serviced to my car the two times it went in. The workers wanted cars in and out as quick as possible. There was NO customer service. It felt like an assembly line.
I took my car to get it's first service (I just bought a 2016 certified preowned car in 2 months ago). After I got it serviced, literally drove 10 minutes and my air pressure light turned on. I got home, checked the air pressure. All four tires were at 40 psi's which it should have been at 36. I reset the air pressure light and thought it was fine.
The tire pressure light turned on again a few minutes later. I called to take it back to the dealership (an hour round trip of driving for me)to get the tire pressure light turned off.
I asked what was it and the guy just said they had to fix the computer and reset it on the computer. I wasn't given any paperwork or anything. It was very unprofessional and ridiculous to not know exactly what happened.
I considered getting my car routinely fixed at the dealer but I think the mechanics aren't doing a good job if I have to take my car in TWICE for a oil change and rotate tires. That's ridiculous.
Finally got my steering wheel centered. Thank you very much. Mark and everyone else were patient and extremely helpful. Thank you all very much.
Mark is the best! I never ya e a second thought that everything was done perfectly. Mark is the reason that I keep bringing my car back.

Keep this fellow around. Anthony has helped me with numerous car problems over the past month. From rewiring my ignition wires, basic maintenance and helping with the flat I got today (also someone threw a banana at my car). He always kept me well informed about my car repairs and has been and exceptional professional. This fellow needs a raise for sure. His upbeat attitude always makes me happy to work with him and continue being a customer. And Jason was super great today too!!

Anthony and Tom were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to try and help me out with only a minutes notice. I didn’t buy my car from Bob Baker, but after seeing how much more professional they were vs. Hine Mazda service department I will be sure to bring all if my service and car buying to Bob Baker in the future. I will send any friends or family over to Bob Baker Mazda for service and new car buying as well. If there is such thing as 6 star service these guys are the ones creating it. Truly the best experience I have ever had with a car dealership after buying over 17 new cars in my lifetime. Anthony and Tom are the best of the best and customer service skills were the best I have ever seen. Robert the sales manager provided a great experience as well. Because of Anthony, Tom and Robert Bob Baker has earned by business and recommendation to anyone for the future. Thank you for such a great experience was truly speechless at how great of a dealership Bob Baker has. Is an award winning 6 star staff. ????
As a young single female, it’s difficult to find people to trust in the automotive industry because of the negative stereotype that mechanics are “out to get you.” This is mainly due to the fact that it is a common misconception that females do not understand the inner workings of their car. This rings true for me, I want to learn and be educated but unfortunately I didn’t have a mentor growing up to learn about important basic car topics. Therefore, the value that Mark brings: authencity, sincerity, and professionalism has no price tag. Building trust is the foundation of any business, and Mark provides that service. Thank you!
