Just went in for my free oil change and to get my battery tested. Was told on the phone when booking my appointment that they were gonna test they battery because I had concerns about my starter going out and the mechanic said he wanted to test the battery before diving into a full inspection that would cost money. I agreed and brought my car in and when I find out the battery is dead when I just brought it in on March 30th and they tested it and it was completely fine then to find out I am being charged $340 for today’s service for a new battery, ,inspection (that wasn’t needed because it was just the battery) and windshield wipers( which I okayed). I was very upset that I had to buy a new battery when I was just told on the 30th it was completely fine. I was also upset that they were charging me for an inspection that wasn’t needed. The assistant manager came over and was absolutely NO help with helping us come to an mutual understanding. He told us “I’m gonna waive the inspection cost to help you out” I then told him “you should of never charged me for it in the first place so what are you going to do to help us on top of that” he then repeated the same thing “I’m gonna waive the inspection fee” this guy wasn’t listening and felt like he was talking down on me the entire time. I had NO issues dealing with the service department at West Hills Dodge when I bought my car but this service at Ford was bad today. I have personally been long time family friends with the Hasselwoods, and Lindstrom’s for the last 10-12 years and worked for the family, I know this is not how business is down on the hill. I have contacted them to let them know how today was handled.
Service was fast, even came in under the quote. Brenda was very communicative and professional.
I was told I needed a new air filter but they did not have one in stock. On my way home I stopped and bought one when I went to replace it the one in my car was new. Then I remembered last time I was in it had been replaced. New people so they don't know my car or me but it should all have been in the computer log of repair on my car. Not sure what happened but sure hope next time goes better.

The inspection report doesn’t tell the level of the underlined transmission status. Nothing was ever mentioned about it. So was it good, bad or unsafe?
Connor did a great job of talking to me like a person and explaining things that didnt make sense. He talked to me on my level. I cannot explain how much I appreciated that. he made me feel welcome and like I could trust him.
