Pretty asinine that in order to determine whether there is an OUTSIDE influence for the purposes of warranty coverage the tech needs several customer-paid hours to look INSIDE the sunroof. The implication there, obviously, is that there will not be coverage for the issue. As a result I declined to pay for this, since there is no assurance I won’t be stuck with an impossibly expensive repair once the tech takes my car half apart. I won’t be back to **** Hannah for service, and this is likely the last time I’ll pay up for a VW vehicle with a warranty, since it’s useless apparently! Thanks for taking care of the recall at least, as far as I know so far this work was done competently. Hire some folks who care about these cars- my sunroof issue is extremely well documented in the enthusiast community, but somehow NONE of your advisors have heard of it.
