Truck has a factory installed trailer brake controller, which is not working correctly. Have had the truck for 3wks and only has 1300 miles on it. Because it’s a factory installed item any Toyota dealership with a service center should be able to fix and warranty the product out.
First appointment set for 830 drop off and was told my service advisor would be there. He wasn’t. Was told truck will be covered under warranty as it only has 1300 miles and be back to me before 5 or I will get a call with an update. Didn’t happen, instead I get a text called the advisor and he gets defensive and starts to throw other service member under the bus.
Tell to keep the truck over night but need it back before 5pm next day. If parts need to be ordered can drop truck back off next week or when the parts come in to be installed but contact me by noon so I get figure out a ride to come and get the truck when ready.
TJ didn’t call me back I had to call him and leave a voicemail mail. He did call back within 15 mins to tell me that I installed the brake controller wrong and the wire harness is messed up. I tried to explain to him that it’s a factory installed controller but he wouldn’t listen. Told me it’s a dealer installed item and whatever dealership I bought the truck from has to fix the problem otherwise I have to pay.. if they fix the controller they have to bill the other dealership for the work and it’s just too much of a pain to do that so it’s just best that I come and pick up the truck and take it to the other dealership because they don’t want to deal with that.
When I arrived to get the truck got attitude form TJ telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about.followed up by he’s not charging me for the diagnostic fee. At this point I was pissed off and I will not be doing business with bell road Toyota. If you can’t look up a vin number and see what options are on a truck and see that an item is an option from the factory not understanding why you offer warranty work.

I am very disappointed that a 7:15 am appointment for an oil change, filter and fluids check, as well as tire rotation took 5 hours. I did not receive any communication until after I had called 2-3 times, and the t cat based communication system was only activated AFTER I had made phone calls. To check on the status of my vehicle.
Windshield replacement guy talked to me before the service advisor, and the service advisor tried walking away while I was being sold into getting a new windshield. Appt time was at 915am, I was asked to leave my vehicle for a large portion of the day due to needing/wanting the hybrid system looked at because I keep getting warnings about it. They did not get to my vehicle for any of the services I was there for until the next day. I was told my rotors were warped upon a guess, without the service advisor looking and told me I must drive downhill or off-road often. Which is not the case. I was told a picture of the warped rotors would be sent to me, I never received the picture. No car wash at pick up, despite receiving car washes and Berge and Right Toyota. All in all, I won’t return to the bell road service location. I have never been dissatisfied with an interaction or service appt before today. Now, I have to make another appt to have my vehicle looked at, since this location couldn’t give me an answer other than my hybrid battery must’ve gotten too hot, my rotors are warped with no picture, and 24 hours to get an oil change/service.
Made the whole process very comfortable
I had asked for an oil change which I had recieved. I had also left the car for 2 hours there and I had also asked for an inspection which I was told I would get of other mechanical issues i had once I left the car lot when I had bought it in may. The shocks were blown, the alignment was off and steering wheel is shakey and also the brakes are bad. Which I believe were not fixed when car was traded in by previous owner. But I had asked for inspection and never recieved paper work of what was wrong. Was told they would fix the under garment plastic piece in front of vehicle under engine bay. Its all loose down there and the plastic is flapping, but that was never fixed like I had been told it would be.
Cody was great. The only complaint is the wait time. I was told an hour and a half. Ended up being 3 hours.
Evanlee was wonderful! He communicated frequently, and made me feel at ease with all of the work that was being done.
