I have a Tacoma with 6,000 miles on it and it has in the technician words a severe leaking LR shock. It definitely hits hard in the back left and I’m told I’ll need to drive it for 2 months minimum before a single rear shock can be available. Definitely not what I expected to hear or the new way Toyota is treating their customers with a $42,000 pickup truck. The service advisor advised me there were 45 on back order across the country for that shock because they are a known problem and failure. I said only 45 for the entire country she said yup. Not happy about it and not afraid to let others know. I think it’s ridiculous

I felt that communication could have been better especially when repairs were delayed waiting for a screw. In all other regards I felt well-taken care of.
