I brought my vehicle to Ramey Toyota today for service following prior collision repairs. When I dropped the vehicle off, I requested to speak directly with the service technician to explain where the vehicle had been struck, what components had already been replaced, and the specific concerns I was experiencing. That request was denied by Lee, the service manager, who assured me he would relay all relevant information to the technician. A few hours later, I received a message indicating that the vehicle required attention in areas unrelated to the collision or my stated concerns. Approximately 20 minutes later, Lee called to ask where the vehicle had been impacted. I provided the details again, and he stated he would address it. Given the confusion, I returned to the dealership to ensure the technician clearly understood the issue. At that time, the technician informed me that he had not driven the vehicle and had not been provided an accurate description of what he was diagnosing. Shortly after leaving, I received another message stating that my vehicle had been serviced and was ready for pickup. I expressed my concerns to Lee regarding how an accurate diagnosis could not have been made when the technician had neither driven the vehicle nor been given the necessary and relevant information. Clear communication is essential in diagnosing post-collision concerns, and unfortunately that standard was not met during this visit.
