I scheduled an appointment at 7:30 for just an oil change, arrived on time and was one of the first people in line. I didn’t leave until 11:30 and the mechanic forgot to put the cover for my air filter back on.
Nicole was a great representative. I was told prior to appointment that shuttle service was available but not until I arrived was I informed it had changed to a one way Uber or lyft. That was an inconvenience. The vehicle service appears to have been completed.
Most of the repairs were done without issue by Wesley Chapel Toyota. The problem was with lifetime tire rotation. I entered what I thought was a contract to perform unlimited life tire rotation for my 4 Runner that was sold to me by my service dealer at Wesley Chapel Toyota. I thought I would bring my car to have regular scheduled maintenance and with that I would have tire rotation performed on my car. What I found out was it is unlimited time to perform and a fixed number of tire rotation (four or five). If I knew that the deal was for 4 or 5 tire rotation under a unlimited time, I would have never entered into the contract.
In my opinion, this is a total scam by Wesley Chapel Toyota to get money from its customers. In addition, my wife had a battery for life contract that turned out to be very much like the lifetime tire rotation situation. At a different dealership, (Not Wesley Chapel Toyota) I had a tires for life contract that went bad also.
From my experience and in my opinion, never enter an extended warranty or any maintenance agreement outside of the cars factory warranty unless you have a degree in contract law. There is always a way that the contract can be breached.
