My initial experience was top notch. Things took a turn south two days in when I asked for a written description of what part was being replaced on my vehicle (which had already been ordered) and updated ETA. I emailed, I called repeatedly (the service manager and main service line) and finally got the part update over a week later and the ETA two weeks later (after involving the GM). I have been in commercial property management of high rise office buildings for over a decade. I understand lead times can’t be controlled, are often unpredictable, and that things get busy. You would be hard-pressed to find a customer more understanding of this. The lack of transparency for basic information breeds mistrust and frustration, particularly when it is something I strive to provide myself. While I hope not to need to return, I hope to see more clear and timely communication if I do. A little goes a long way. Thanks.

My Ioniq 5 would not respond when a traffic light turned green. Fortunately, after a short time it did finally react and then drove normally. I understand that no problem could be found and it’s difficult to solve an intermittent problem, but I am now not fully confident in driving the vehicle. If I had been told that Hyundai corporate was consulted to see if they had heard of this ever happening, I would have felt that more effort was taken to identify the problem. As it is I’m not as confident driving the car as I was before. So it would be dishonest for me to say I’m satisfied.

When I got in my car after the service, it smelled quite bad. I had to leave the windows down to air out the car. Also, after I left, I noticed that someone ripped a piece of plastic/insulation (I’m not even sure what it’s called) off of the bottom of my car. I will be sending pictures separately. Also, I had $16 of “misc chrgs” that were on my bill that was not explained anywhere on the bill. When I asked about it, I was told they were “shop charges.” I don’t know what that means. Please consider adding a line item and explanation to your invoice.

I had a check engine light come on last week and found a recall as I scheduled the service. Brandon was courteous and supplied me with a loaner vehicle to use throughout the day. The repairs were done later that afternoon. The whole process was smooth and efficient.

Communication and updates with Branden were not good! When finally Mitchell became involved it was much better! 10 days for that car to be returned! John, the sales manager I dealt with too tried very to get communication going! End of story!

Ethan was very polite and helpful. The rest of my experience was awful. The prices were outrageous and my efforts to reduce my costs by handling some repairs myself were thwarted by a ridiculously high “diagnostic” fee to get my car out of the service bay. To add insult to injury, I had to pay a 2.3% service fee to use my credit card. Someone could have told me that BEFORE I came in. For years I’ve had a good experience at your service center. However, after this, I will not be returning.
