Eddie Odom is the main reason I'll continue to have my vehicle serviced at Toyota of Gastonia. Trust is very important to me and I feel that I can trust Eddie, as well as the service technicians that work with him!

I did tell attendant that answered the phone when I called for an appointment about a piece of something hanging down under the car to also be looked at when I brought the car in for service. I also told the attendant that accepted my car upon arrival. They did rotate my tires and do an inspection but didn’t address the piece hanging down. I asked Michael about it. He took care of it right there in the service bay, above and beyond.

Dealership should perform all maintenance on cars it plans to sell to customers if the cars are Pre-certified. Was surprised that this was not done on the 2020 Highlander Hybrid that I bought on Jan. 31st at 60,111 miles when I bought it. Was not told that brake fluid service needed to be changed out at 60,000 miles earlier. It wasn’t until I came in for my first oil change at a little over 65,000 miles that I learned it hadn’t been done.

I brought my vehicle in for the 5000 mile check up. It had 4044 miles on it. I requested an oil change and the service tech said that Toyota would not recommend changing oil before 10,000 miles. The service tech was gracious enough to give me the 10,000 mile service which included the oil change; however, I do not trust and will not accept a 10,000 mile oil change… when I purchased the vehicle it was conveyed to me that it would have free service for the first 25,000 miles including oil changes and what I was told every 5000 miles.
He was really thorough and I took a long time to come downstairs and he came to find me to make sure everything was okay so and told me where the car was and everything and it really polite and he gave me the time frame of how much it was going to take to do the checkup and it was good
The service was great, but I was hoping to spend at least a little less than I actually did, since I had already spent over $1000 just a few days ago.I had to postpone getting the tire sensor done, because it is soooooo expensive. Overall, great service !
In general, I’ve had good experiences at Toyota of Gastonia. However, this time, I was called and it was recommended that I get my tires aligned now at the same time I was told to patch a nail in a tire. However, when I later saw the report, it only suggested an alignment for “future” consideration because only one wheel was slightly off. I regret saying yes to that and would have preferred a clearer explanation of the need. When checking out, the cashier even joked about how much I spent. It didn’t feel good. Considering the life of those tires, that’s $130 I didn’t need to spend.
