My vehicle experienced a well-documented defect known as rod bearing failure, which caused the engine to consume oil at an accelerated rate and ultimately led to engine failure, rendering the car inoperable. I contacted the service department to confirm whether the repair would be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. I was informed that coverage extended up to 130,000 miles. Based on that information, I had the vehicle towed to the dealership. However, the following day, I was contacted and told the warranty only covers up to 100,000 miles. This discrepancy could have been avoided with a simple phone call or a more thorough verification of my vehicle’s warranty coverage before I arranged for the tow.

The car came in with a problem with the 12 volt battery which was replaced. So far so good. What I am not clear on, is whether or not there could be a low grade drain on the 12 volt battery which could result in another dead battery. I will let you know if there are any other issues.

Wow…. Wow… Wow.. what an awesome experience it was from the moment I dropped off the vehicle. The service manager and everyone that works in the service department were extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to purchase the Hyundai brand.
