The San Bruno Hyundai Service Department , in general **** and that’s the nicest word I can use. The manager should be fired. The customer service representative Danny on the other hand is a real gem. Were it not for him I would never set foot at San Bruno Hyundai again. Danny is an exceptional at what he does. He’s professional, kind and the only person there who seems to give a **** about customers…..but I feel like I’m wasting my time with this review as I don’t believe the owners really give a damn about what customers think.

Daniel was very patient and detailed explaining every service detail and option. I also witnessed him handle a disgruntled customer with patience and professionalism. In terms of the actual service work, I had to wait a whole day to get my oil change when my drop off time was 9:30 and pick up was 4pm, which is unacceptable. Hyundai needs to hire more mechanics and provide quicker timelines.
I have always liked Hyundai and have been a loyal customer, but my recent experience at San Bruno Hyundai was the worst service I have ever received.
For nearly two weeks, I received no updates on my car, and my calls and messages were completely ignored. When I finally went there, I had to wait an hour and a half, only to be told the part wasn’t available. Later, I was told the wrong part had arrived. Then, after confirming that I bought the car used, the service manager (Daniel) told me that I had to pay nearly the value of my car to fix it because the warranty had expired.
Only after I strongly complained did I get any real responses—but by then, I had lost all trust. They even asked me to bring the car back again for another inspection after already keeping it for almost two weeks. I refused, and, as expected, I never heard back from them.
This was the most unprofessional and frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a service center. I still like Hyundai cars and will continue to drive them, but I hope I never have to deal with service like this again.
Daniel was so professional and helpful. He even arranged transportation to pick up my car when it was done for service.

Parts were left off. On the back trunck. Dropped off at 8:30 did not finish till 5:30 bad service. Not happy at all.

Honestly, the longest wait times I have ever experienced at a car service location in all the yrs I've owned a vehicle. Additionally ridiculously long time needed just to leave vehicle for a diagnostic. To clarify, I had an appt but was told after I arrived that I would have to leave my vehicle for 2-3 days just to run a diagnostic. That's absurd. Why can't service just book the appt for 3 days later and have the diagnostic done that day???. Its not acceptable to have a customer be without a car for multiple days just waiting & not actually getting repairs done.
Yes, I was completely satisfied with the service on my vehicle. The service team did a very professional job. They kept me informed of the progress of my vehicle and offered Lyft rides to and from my home. I was extremely satisfied with Daniel’s performance and quality of service.
Repair was quick and courtesy was good but waiting for the parts took a month. I don't know if that can be resolved.
I was given an appointment but when showing up I was informed the diagnostics team wasn’t able to check out my car until the following week. Nothing was communicated prior to the appointment
