A week ago I had an appointment for oil change, normal multiple check, tire rotation, diamond fusion windshield application, and the front bumper recall taken care of.
They neglected to enter the bumper recall work, so they didn’t do that for me.
They made another appointment for me for today, one week from my last appointment. I was asked if I was going to wait for the work to be completed, and I said yes. The guy even read it back to me afterwards.
Well when I checked in it was noted that I would not be waiting for the work to be completed, and it would take 2 hours or more for the recall work to be completed.
I was definitely angry at this news. They made me another appointment now for three days from now to drive back one more time to get this recall fixed. I live on the far east side of Madison, and this just is incredibly inconvenient.
This is not the first time crazy issues like this has happened to me here.
I was not aware of your closing time and returned to find the service area closed, my car sitting unlocked in the lot, and no keys available. I was able to get into the main sales area which was still open and they were able to get in to retrieve my keys. I did tell the service agent I was going across the street to wait but no one came to get me. Not the best but all worked out in the end.
David answered all my questions satisfactorily, made an adjustment to the hood that was of concern. He reached out to me while the vehicle was being serviced to see pic I had any additional concerns. I appreciate his conscientious care of my vehicle.

He was an amazing worker and always kept me in the loop with what was going on.
I left my car and came back to pick it up later the same day. When I did, the cashier asked if the advisor talked to me about my brakes. The only thing that was brought up on the call was about my cabin air filter. When I paid, the cashier said they’d recommend my brakes be replaced which there would’ve been time to do today. I live in Deforest so it’s not convenient to come for service, but I’ve been going there since my car was a few months old. I was also confused by the explanation of which brakes need replacing as the paperwork shows the rear in green and front in yellow but the cashier mentioned the rear ones. Then when I got about halfway home I realized my sticker wasn’t changed and the next time I started my car the maintenance light flashed. My multipoint inspection was also not in my online dashboard I was linked to. I’ve always been happy with my service at Smart, so I’m hoping today was just an anomaly.
