I took my Toyota in to Smart for brake work. David Killerlain, my service writer, told me we would start out with a brake inspection. I left the dealership at 8am to go to work. All morning I waited for his call to see what the diagnosis was. At 12:30 pm, still not hearing anything from David, I took it upon myself to call and ask what was going on. There was no way a brake inspection could take 4.5 hours. I was told by him that he was "busy." So during the course of 4.5 hours, one minute could not have been taken to inform me of the status of my car. This lack of communication by one who has a "Master Service Writer" certificate framed behind him, is what has ultimately led me to question going back to Smart Toyota.
Got mixed messages about how often to actually get oil changed. One said Toyota’s 10,000 miles is fine and another said 5K oughta be done. Which is it?
Otherwise work done was very good as I see it.
Did say Toyota REALLY ought to have front end tie downs on a car like Highlander typically used for outdoor sports like canoeing! Tell them to add them. Could easily be done where tow hooks often go…
It was great being able to drop my car off, and that everything was completed so quickly.
