My vehicle was in the shop from 7/29-8/7. I appreciated the daily updates but every night I was expecting my vehicle to be done the next day. Had I known it would be so long, I'd have taken a loaner car instead of having to use a company vehicle for that long. It was hard to not feel like something happened that nobody was telling me about.
I had an appointment for a simple oil change with no tire rotation at 1 PM. I showed up at 1 and said I would wait for my car. I was there until 2:30, which I think is not reasonable when I made a prior appointment.
I scheduled the appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The clerk checking me out told me the service technicians only rotated the tires. He said they did this because the oil was changed at 5,000 miles. My car has just over 10,000. I wanted the oil changed! I had it changed at 5,000 and wanted it changed again! The service department staff don’t have enough training to maybe ask about that. There is a reason why I’ve had multiple 4 Runners last over 130,000 miles. It’s because I change oil at 5,000. I wasn’t able to stay longer and they “couldn’t do it now”. Poor customer service.
Thanks for good service. Price of replacing my Key Fob was a little shocking at $487 and change. Hope I don’t lose my fob again. Keep up the good work.
