I sat for an hour before she came out and told me that the part I was having replaced and was there to replace, wasn’t in stock. Seems like a well organized place would tell me that even before having me make an appointment; would, in fact, make sure the part was available before having me come in. There needs to be better communication.
The service was phenomenal(110% impressed with Vang and Ian). I was only less-than-completely satisfied by the price to swap an alternator being higher than any rate I found while researching by more than $200, and the diagnosis fee being 20% higher than I expected. I considered it still worth it for the diagnostic since I was lent a loaner while my car was serviced, and the alternator fee was easier than taking the car elsewhere once it was in your shop. Otherwise no complaints.
Ian is the best service advisor I've experienced at Smart. And that's a high compliment.
