I've been getting my car serviced at Bob Smith for many years and I've always had a pleasant experience. I always opt to drop off my car, go home and pick it up at a later time. Today I decided to wait since I booked the 830 am appointment. I assumed it would take no more than 2 hours. I had a 12pm appointment in Pasadena and figured it would all work out. I was disappointed to find myself at the shop until a little past 1130. I ended uo being late to my 12pm appointment as a result. Here is the run down of what I experienced today. I received a text at 1027 with the details of what had been found and I approved for them to replace some bolts. I then received a called from the service department at 1042 letting me know that they received the approval and that it should be another 20 minutes. I figured no problem. Around 1105 I made my way to the cashier and she told me that it would be another 20 minutes. This was now the 2nd time I had been told a different time of completion. I went ahead and sat down and waited until 1130. I then stood in line while she was helping another gentleman. While in line a gentleman walked in with my paperwork and specifically said my name to the lady. I was happy to know that I would be next. As soon as she finished helping the gentleman instead of helping me she proceeded to type some stuff into the computer. I stayed calm and waited. Then she proceeded to help another customer who was standing off to the side by the side door. He didnt seem like he was in a hurry at all. At this point I grew frustrated because she knew that I was in a hurry. I expressed my frustration and she told me that he had been waiting. Sorry, so had I and i was actually next in line. I had been at your facility since 830 for a total of 3 hours. I was in a hurry and had been extremely patient up to this point. Fortunately another lady came in and quickly helped me to check out. That lady was great. The initial lady who was working behind the desk lacked the professionalism and courtesy to help me out as I again had been there for 3 hours and I was next in line. I've always had a great experience at your facility. I think this lady needs to be re trained on customer service. She should help people in the order in which they are in line especially if they've been there for 3 hours. Thank you.
