Always appreciate Sid Nodruft and his maintenance crew. Have always been fair and HONEST.
Good service. Very expensive though.
Super frustrated that the service didn’t match the previously quoted service from my last visit that I chose to postpone. Either the previous suggested service was completely unnecessary and no record of that service recommendation was kept. I believe it had something to do with the 4wd fluids, but don’t remember - I do remember that the quote was $700ish. The service that was just performed was $300 and says on the invoice that it was at my request …. So either the previous recommended service wasn’t needed or it was overpriced?!? I haven’t noticed any difference in the way the car is handling - I was only finally in a position to pay for the recommended service … but again the price difference suggests I either just paid for half of the previously recommended service and thus still need the other half of the service or received that (prescribed by mileage) service at a significant discount- which I can’t imagine to be true. I still don’t understand what my prepaid service plan covers because everytime I come in I end up with a bill.
The entire team at the service department provided me excellent service. My customer service experience was the best at UNDERRINER FORD located at The Dalles.
We’ll be calling you later today. We don’t believe the truck is truly fixed. Mechanics didn’t want to hear about the past problems. Part cost $35 labor $375 or so. For something that didn’t fix it.
My appointment was for five recalls; I brought in each notification. Several hours later, Sid brought me a printout of the completed work. I asked if all of the recall work had been done and he said yes. When I returned home, and reviewed the printout, I realized that only four of the five recalls had been resolved. The one that was not was the one I was most concerned about: it could lead to an engine fire. I don't have the recall number because Sid did not return the notifications I brought in.
Last fall, I called for an appt to address this same engine fire recall and to get an oil change. They did an oil change and then I was told that they couldn't do the recall because they didn't yet have the part. I wasn't provided an expected time to return nor was I encouraged to return.
One week or so after the oil change, I discovered that oil was leaking. We had put on a fumoto oil drain plug and the technician failed to close it all the way and did not return the clip. My truck was down 2 quarts of oil. We called and reported what had happened.
I live one hour away from the Dalles and both times I made an appt. the first thing I was told was that they would need the vehicle all day. I shuffled around my other responsibilities and planned to spend the day. Both times I was there for less than three hours. I would think that an established shop would have a more accurate way of determining how much time each task takes.
After this last appointment, I used the Contact Us form to describe my last experience and asked for a response. No one has contacted me.
I was hesitant to use your dealership because the service department had a lot of negative reviews under the prior owner. But I thought perhaps under the new owner, things may have improved. I will now have to look for a dealer in the PDX or Vancouver area which will add more travel time for me.
Sincerely,
Sue K
Sid is always kind and helpful.
Your team exceeded expectations.
Had a 715 apt so I could try to make a meeting at 830. I was informed the techs do not show up to start work until 8. I was a little confused about that. They still got me in out in time for meeting. Staff were all very pleasant. No complaints. Sounds like the tech started a little early and got it done. Will see you all next time.
Aaron did a great job on my truck. I only come here for all of my service needs.
I like that there's an app with links to the report, but there needs to be more clarification on reported issues and solutions. Like tire cupping... What is that? Was it seen on my tires or just something you recommend be checked? Cant imagine that it couldn't be checked during a tire rotation. Was the engine and cabin air filter actually visually inspected or is it just bc you don't have a record of it being changed in a certain time period? Same goes for the wipers. Without actual photos and comments saying we visually inspected, this just seems like unnecessary upsales. If it is visually inspected I would like a photo and a phone call so it can be addressed in the moment while it's convenient to the technician and not have to arrange for a separate service. I also did not see anywhere where the oil change and tire rotation was addressed, which is why the vehicle was in the shop to be serviced. Perhaps this is mentioned on a separate report that haven't seen. I also was never told the payment amount when I paid over the phone. Basically this all comes down to one thing... I expect better communication and I know you guys can deliver it :)
Always a pleasure working with Sid and the ford team at Underriner Ford.
Brought van in for recall repair. Did not have part to fix altho this was scheduled. Received part the following day and was notified after I had arranged a ride to The Dalles. Left van for 2 nights and had to rearrange another ride for Friday as I could not pick up on Thursday. Appreciated the ride back to HR after drop off. Thank you.
Service was above and beyond what I was expecting. Aaron took the time to go over everything with my car to make sure I understood what was happening. Just wonderful customer service.
Sid does an excellent job!
