I sent two emails to Ashley on Thursday 6/18/26. Asked for a more details and verification of the inspection but she never responded. I need the manager to contact me regarding to that email. I prefer communication through email due to my work situation. Here’s one of the email I sent to Ashley:
Hello Ashley,
Thank you for sending over the inspection report and estimate.
Since this is a major repair at about $3,107.27, I just want to make sure we fully understand the diagnosis before moving forward.
The report states:
"P2647 Rocker Arm Actuator Stuck, Cleared Codes, Performed Active Test, INOP."
Can you please ask the technician if the following were checked before recommending replacement of the rocker arm/Valvematic actuator?
1. Power and ground to the actuator
2. Wiring harness condition
3. Electrical connectors for corrosion or loose connections
4. Any circuit testing to rule out wiring-related issues
5. Engine oil condition and level
6. Any additional testing beyond the active test to confirm the actuator itself has failed
7. Toyota Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) related to this concern that were referenced during diagnosis
If there are any technician notes, test results, screenshots, or documentation that support the diagnosis, I would appreciate seeing those as well.
I hope you understand my perspective and why I am asking these questions. This is a large repair, and I simply want to make an informed decision before authorizing the work. I prefer to communicate primarily through email so everything is documented and easy to reference later. I am happy to take phone calls for updates as well, but I would appreciate a follow-up email whenever possible.
I will also be sending another email regarding a previous service related to this same concern. That experience is one of the reasons I would like everything documented this time.
One last question. Since this vehicle only has about 84,000 miles, can you please verify whether this repair may be covered under any warranty, extended warranty, goodwill assistance, emissions-related coverage, or any warranty related to previous work performed on the vehicle?
Thank you again for your help. I appreciate you taking the time to look into this for me.
Extremely knowledgeable and kind staff
My truck burned to the ground 5 miles after I picked it up ! I brought it in for a fuel injector problem. Dan has been as helpful as possible without the factory inspector seeing it yet!
It was unfortunate that the transmission had to be replaced and there were no parts to do so until December. We decided to trade in the vehicle and purchase a new 4Runner from Co Springs Toyota. It was a very difficult situation, but not your fault because they had no parts. Glad we were able to make something work and were pleased with the knowledge of the service department. We will be using you for servicing our new vehicle.
A little clearer on what should be done at milage intervals-
Dani was terrific. Your service is excellent.
Daniela Porter is always so kind and I appreciate that so much !
During the service, tire change, and alignment, little to no status updates were provided. When vehicle was complete, tires were not properly inflated to the cold PSI and TPWS/sensors were not set. Manually added tire pressure and reset sensors
They did good job I really appreciate that especially Sarah thank you Sarah
