Mary was unable or unwilling to answer basic questions about service bulletin, 16-002, that pertained to my issue. She told me that it was an old SB and was for cars with aftermarket starters. This was not an answer that aligned with the SB content. When I did not accept her answer and asked for the reasoning behind changing the starter but not following the SB, she acted very put out to have to go and talk to the technician. She also said the diagnostic fee would be waived if the repairs were done. After getting the bill, which should have included 0.9 hours per the SB and asking why the charge was more I was told that the diagnostic was rolled into the repair. Waived and rolled into other charges are two very different things. I also had the car in your shop within the last month. The last visit I was told that there could be an oil leak or someone missed filling the oil and we should watch it to see which was the case. Mary did not look at any past notes but was seeing the same oil (see the pics in your system) that had not changed nor was the areas wet, like a new leak. She was insistent that the valve cover and the rear main seal were leaking to the tune of about $3000.00 in repairs. This is the type of thing that caused me to leave AutoNation. I will continue to come to your shop but will not accept Mary as the service manager for any of my future repairs. She does not present herself as knowledgeable or trustworthy as your other service manages that I’ve worked with have.

Service took far too long. We waited an hour and a half. We do not like comunicating by text. Recommended procedures were not explained in person until we were at the cashier to check out.
