Can't help pin point grinding noise between 3-4th gear. Supra techs wont put it on lift, they rather drive on highway to the next town over past the gears that make the noise. Tech says they need ANOTHER Gr Supra to see if the noise is normal. When any grinding noise isn't normal... orginally went in for transmission fluid change, was told 500$ then was told 1,850$. They said i needed 2x the amount the transmission can even hold which is 9 liters when bone dry, but takes 6.5 liters to do, 7 liters max. who charges 130$ for a liter of fluid for transmission.. unfortunately the last 3x times i went in for the grinding noise the Supra tech didn't even try to locate the noise in the shop.
Nestor is excellent, and the new service regime seems more organized and expeditious—including the “ghost driver” (Irish? Not sure how to spell his name). First-rate experience all around.
