I was given an estimate for replacing a diagnosed “defective steering column” on 2017 Camry SE with 51,000 miles. I have routinely brought my car to your dealership for routine maintenance since I purchased it from you in April/May 2017. I was told by the service advisor that this problem was extremely rare. My car was kept in your shop from Nov. 3 til Nov. 20, 2025. I was notified by text that the car was ready for pick late afternoon on Wednesday Nov. 19. I found out, when I arrived to pick up the car, that the bill had increased from ~$2700 to $4400 due to a defective computer control module. No one had notified me of the “unexpected major cost increase”. I understand estimates are just “estimates” and additional parts can be found that need replacing. Just imagine the “sticker shock” when you go in to pay for $2700 of repair work on what is considered as a “bullet proof car” and you are presented with a $4400 repair bill! It was a real challenge not to loose my cool. Please save your customers this type of experience in the future. They might not maintain their composure. - Michael B

Michael was argumentative and disrespectful. I was in to resolve an issue with my wiper fluid. It turns out Michael made a conscious decision to withhold the fact that there was a crack in the receptacle and the result of that decision caused a series of problems for me. Upon my departure, he sarcastically said “God bless you”, which he never had previously and it was in a very disrespect tone. It was extremely offensive. I will be contacting management to have him removed from my account because I refuse to deal with him again. I expect better of Toyota.
