I will always help out on the survey no matter how mad I am.

Good experience. Thank you.
My car was ready when promised, everything was explained to me and they were able to fix one other thing they found.
Nick did a fantastic job helping me with brake concerns on my RAV4. He explained what was happening an my various resolution options. I’ve worked with Nick before and overall I give Nick an “11” out of ten.

He was very professional, friendly and helpful.
I’m reaching out because I had my 60,000-mile service completed at Carlson Toyota today (7/30) and I left with concerns I’d like to discuss.
When I scheduled online, I selected the standard factory-recommended 60k service. At check-in, I let your staff know that I had recently replaced the engine and cabin air filters myself, so those did not need to be serviced. The advisor acknowledged that and said that was fine.
I was quoted an estimate of $650 and told the wait would be at least 2.5 hours. However, the service was completed in just 1 hour and my final bill was nearly $800, despite declining two of the standard service items. I was told the higher cost was due to “parts and supplies”, but nothing was clearly explained, and I wasn’t notified ahead of time that the price would increase — I expected it to have gone down given the reduced scope of work.
Additionally, my car was not washed, even though I was specifically asked if I’d like that done. The “next service” reminder sticker indicates I need another oil change in 5,000 miles and next rotation is due in ____ miles… (inaccurate or missing info for both fields)
The car wash and service reminders alone wouldn’t be a concern, but together they left me questioning whether the service was completed thoroughly — especially since it was done in significantly less time than quoted and cost significantly more than expected.
I’m asking for a clear explanation of:
1. What work was actually performed and what parts were replaced.
2. Why the price was higher than the estimate despite reduced services.
3. Why I wasn’t informed of any changes in scope or cost during the visit.
I’m a loyal Toyota customer and I’ve had positive experiences with Carlson Toyota in the past, which is why I wanted to reach out directly before completing the Toyota customer satisfaction survey. I hope we can resolve this with transparency and fairness.
Thank you for your time,
Amanda B
I did not need an oil change or tire rotation and was unaware that was going to be a part of the service. So I was charged for it. I had just gotten those done about 4 to 500 miles ago.
Appreciate getting quick service when we walked in with our issue. Thanks so much.
