John went out of his way to make sure that our car got the maintenance that it needed and that I got set up with all the shuttle service and loaner cars needed while the car was in the shop. He’s a great communicator.

My entire experience at Oakland Honda was terrible. I’ve been a customer there for 12 years and have always taken all my Hondas to be serviced by Oakland Honda. I went in for an oil change and a wash which should have been no more than $150. But next thing I knew Hong was selling me brand new tires and suggesting services I didn’t need. He never told me any of the tire options and probably just sold me the most expensive ones. I have to wonder if he got commission on this service. To top it all off he quoted me a final price which was already outrageous but when I went to pick up my car it ended up being almost $200 more. I feel completely scammed by the entire experience and will never take my car back to Oakland Honda ever again.

Ok this is the 3rd time trying to submit this comment. Victor Martinez provided me with Excellent service. He’s knowledgeable, professional, and delivers expeditiously safety for me as a driver as a top priority. He’s definitely a shining star of your Honda shop which I’ve utilized for the past 13 years.

Hong being very unprofessional. And my service advisor calling me minutes before you guys close to pick up my vehicle but when I show up a little past 6 throw a fuss about giving me my vehicle back

Tax was great, no issues with her and would gladly have her again. Today was the first time I opted to use your shuttle service. My drop off to my house was great. Pickup was a disaster. Happy to discuss if needed. I had been told that the shuttle stops at 3pm, so was prepared to get picked up sometime before then and possibly need to wait for my car - no problem. To my halt surprise, I find out a little after 2pm that they are pretty much done. Taz explains the driver will call me when on their way to get me. I get ready. 3pm comes and goes. I get nervous about that shuttle cutoff so call back. The operator is quick to transfer me to Taz, although I do not really want to bug her and just want to know the status of the shuttle. The operator says only the people in Taz’s role can call the driver. I speak with Taz again and she reassures me I am on the list and that the driver will still come, he is finishing something in Alameda. I wait. 3:40pm comes and I call again, this time getting someone who implore not to transfer me back to Taz but just to please let me know what is goin on with that shuttle. This woman asks me to please wait 15 more mins, I should hear something from someone. 4:00 comes and I am getting more and more irritated. I call back, and a man (Craig?), answers. I tell him I cannot wait for the shuttle any longer, I am so irritated, and going to take an Uber or Lyft, I hope they will reimburse me. I finally arrive via Lyft. I talk with Christina about things. It seems that a driver tried to call me but used the wrong number, I showed Christina my call log and she then asked him (Billy) which number he dialed (he used “0520” instead of “0570” as my last four digits. He also called me sometime after 4:15pm. I was reimbursed for my Lyft thankfully. Further, I got my car back and for some reason it smells like wet dog. I do own a dog so not sure why has that odor now, but hope it goes away. In any case, an overall positive experience (pleasant service advisor, service done earlier than expected) but unnecessary aggravation.
