He was great and everything was fine except for one small issue - when I got home (thank goodness it was at home), the cap for the coolant fell out onto the driveway. As the coolant wasn’t part of the work done on my car, I wondered why it’d been removed and, more so, why wasn’t it replaced properly? I texted back to his number about this issue but received no reply.

Matt Phillips went above and beyond to help us, especially after leaving the shop the car broke down the next day. Really everyone we dealt with at atkins was exceptional, the tow truck driver, the ladies that were answering the phones, the rental people and the detail guys.

I don’t understand why it’s called “Quick Lane” because the service was anything but quick. It took three days for them to even tell me why my truck wouldn’t start. What’s worse — and truly unacceptable — is that new liability and drivability issues suddenly appeared that my truck did not have before I brought it to Akins. The service advisor, ****, told me my vehicle was “not drivable” because of the rear rotors and sold me rear rotors and brake work. That made no sense because my truck was driving perfectly fine before it arrived at Akins. Then, after I agreed to the rear brake repairs, I was told the shaking issue was actually coming from the front rotors, which resulted in even more repairs being added. By the end of it, I was sold front and rear rotors along with front and rear brake pads, despite the fact that I had recently had my brake pads replaced at Akins just a few months earlier. Before bringing my truck in, I was not experiencing any rotor problems, shaking, or drivability issues at all. I brought my truck in because it would not start — not because of brake or rotor issues. In fact, the intake measurements for my rotors during this visit reportedly showed they were still within acceptable specifications. Yet somehow, by the time my truck was returned to me, I had spent approximately $2,500 on repairs for issues I was not having before bringing my vehicle to Akins. Instead of feeling helped, I feel like I was pressured into unnecessary repairs that were either not properly explained or may not have been needed at all. If you are going to call yourselves “Quick Lane,” then the service should be quicker, more transparent, and more honest when customers trust you with their vehicles. Also, if repairs are going to take several days, there should be loaner vehicle options available so customers are not stranded for nearly a week without transportation.
