Mark is always very friendly and as helpful as can be. I do not have an issue with him. I have an issue with Volvo service in general. I do not want to assume why there seems to be only one person manning the desk on certain days but this has been going on since I bought this car in June of 2020; perhaps there is an attempt to hire someone and I am unaware, but it puts pressure on whomever is working there.
On Wednesday, I called the service department multiple times to say I had a emergency flat tire and was trying to get in. No one called me back. I left a message once but called three times. I finally just brought the car there without getting through to anyone. I told Mark I was not in a hurry (I was not) and had my sister pick me up. I received no communication until the next morning when Mark called to tell me they were going to work on it, and they had it fixed within a few hours. As I said, I didn’t have any need for my car so I didn’t mind waiting. That being said, though, needing almost 24 hours to replace a flat tire seems excessive.
On the desk side of things, one person is not enough to manage all of those cars and people coming in and out. Please hire more staff.
My husband brings his Subaru Outback for service next door regularly. Their staff are much quicker at moving people in and out, namely because they tend to have multiple people at the desk. Again, please don’t “ding” Mark in any way. This is not his fault. I know these reviews are a big deal in the industry, but this is a failure of the dealership, not one individual. Mark (and the other Mark!) is/are always a pleasure to interact with, and do their best.
